The Darkside Detective Series

Still a side character in a point and click mystery!

Welcome to The Darkside Detective series! I have a few pages dedicated to my rantings about this game. I have two pages dedicated to the games' cases. On this page, you will be able to find the summary that works for both games: The Darkside Detective and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark. Later on, I will also have a page dedicated to my screenshots and overall rantings, not just the cases.

Down below are my links to my rantings about the cases in each game:

The Darkside Detective Cases

Fumble in the Dark Cases

The Darkside Detective series is a point and click mystery adventure. Set in the city of Twin Lakes, you traverse across the city playing as Detective Francis McQueen, whose amusing sidekick, Officer Patrick Dooley, works along side you. Known for its supernatural occurances, Twin Lakes is haunted by the creatures of the Darkside. The Darkside is a world unlike Twin Lakes. Chaos and monsters reek havoc across the dimension. Luckily for Twin Lakes, the two-man team of the TLPD's Darkside Division will stop at nothing to prevent Twin Lakes from falling into chaos too.

Both games come with six main cases and three bonus cases. In the first game,The Darkside Detective, you need to finish the main six before you are able to unlock the next three cases. In the second game, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark, the three bonus cases are already shown and unlocked. You need to finish the case before to be able to unlock a new one. This bends in the first game due to starting with the first and second case unlocked, but it continues to apply throughout the game.

Each game comes with 30 achievements. You get one achievement for finishing each case. for a total of nine at the end of each game. The other 21 achievements can be attained by completing certain tasks. These achievements can by obtained in any case. Some can be found in one case, and others can span across multiple cases.
